Multi Fab reveals its tailor made metal treatment and powder coating plant

As part of our multimillion pound investment at the Attleborough factory we have installed a state of the art painting facility incorporating;

Manual Spray System

A  Nordson ‘Encore’ manual powder spray system allowing ‘one hand’ adjustment of powder flow and giving the painter more consistent and repeatable coating performance. The gun design allows reach into component cavities and improved manoeuvrability around and between densely packed parts resulting in improved coverage.

PPC Pre Treatment Plant

Our new, special order pre treatment plant meets BS6496/ EN12206 and will therefore offer the full 25 year architectural specification.

It can accept up to 4 x 2 metre sheet size and features a nine stage process including acid etch, fresh water rinse and hot air drying. This equipment gives Multi Fab a painting facility which provides the architectural fabrication industry with a service which is second to none.

PPC Spray Booth

The new Water Wash Spray booth has a capacity of 4.4 metres width x 2.9 metres height x 3.5 metres and is joined by our new ‘Airflow’ 225 degree c Air Re-circulating Powder Curing Shuttle Oven. Boasting internal dimensions of 3 metres wide, 2.7 metres high and 4.5 metres deep, it is fitted with the latest control systems.

The installation is completed by the addition of a new overhead track system with 40 no. heavy duty trolley’s, each with 50Kg capacity.
