Attleborough in Norfolk received a major jobs boost today after news that local firm Multi Fab Ltd has been granted planning permission for a major £1.5 million new factory in the town.

A total of 35 new jobs will be created after the new factory is built in 2009.

Multi Fab Ltd specialises in bespoke aluminium components, polyester powder coating, aluminium window, door and curtain walling fabrication for specialist contractor customers serving the construction industry.

Multi Fab Ltd Managing Director, Simon Gladwin, said: "This is tremendous news for the firm but also for Attleborough. We chose the town so that we have easy access to the A11/M11 corridor which is crucial for transportation and also to attract local people to come and work at a thriving and enthusiastic firm. This new site demonstrates the strength of the company as we expand to this purpose built facility which will enable us to increase the level of service to our customers. Meeting tight timelines in the construction industry is not unusual and this new site will make us even more efficient."

Multi Fab Ltd has an annual turnover of £2.5 million and is part of the Architectural Glazing Group of companies which is also home to the renowned company English Architectural Glazing. The new factory at Attleborough is expected to be built and in full production by early 2009.
